I've changed my mind

Posted by Buzz.

Being in Guatemala these past four weeks has prompted me to change my mind on something important.  I've changed my mind about my favorite color. Now, my favorite color is green. Green is everywhere in our backyard. It's lush with tropical, exotic-looking things.  In January and February one doesn't expect much green in one's life. At least that's been my world view living in Minnesota. Now, however, I'm surrounded by green, and I'm loving it. The wonderful thing is that there is a wide array of green with subtle shades of influence that go with each different plant.

Within the panoramic view of our patio there's Dartmouth green, fern green, emerald green, pigment green, jungle green, harlequin, forest green, shamrock green, asparagus green, celadon, moss green, hunter green, MSU green, myrtle, sap green, kelly green, and a whole bunch more.

About now you might be green with envy; don't be. Rather, just be happy for me that I've got a new favorite color.

  1. Makes me wish for a box of green crayons in all those colors. Thanks for remembering kelly green too. :)
This begs the question - what was your favorite color before?
Sounds beautiful! This is the time of year in Minnesota when you start to wonder if you will ever see anything alive outside again.
    Enjoy!

  2. Just hearing about all of the green around you made me think of spring! 67 days until Baseball opens at Target field :-) I am so happy that you are in a warm place...
